Immigration is the most politically polarizing in the United States today. It is also far more than a political “issue” debated in the halls of power or social media. At the center of the immigration debate are mothers, fathers and children who have often fled physical or economic violence to seek safety and belonging in neighborhoods across the U.S. Over the course of this gathering, we will explore the history and theology of immigration, hear the stories of those directly impacted and consider how we can transcend any border that divides us from each other. In the end, we trust that as we follow Jesus we can contribute to a society where everyone has a home.
